Module summary

The mind’s ear, a book and method by composer and lecturer Bruce Adolphe, offers a unique approach to stimulating the musical imagination and inspiring creativity, as well as providing detailed exercises aimed at improving the ability to read and imagine music in silence, in the “mind’s ear”. Based on this book we will perform mental and practical group exercises (e.g. imagining musical situations or orchestral timbres or performing composing games) through which you will explore your imaginative powers and expand your creative horizon.
