Realizing the students study plan with the help of external lessons / workshops / collective programmes or productions.
Relation to other modules
The content of the Free Space links in with all other parts of the curriculum. The student makes choices and takes initiatives that are based on their study plan, which they write in Connecting the Dots.
Content
In the individual route, the student develops a personal profile through a combination of individual classes and workshops. The individual route consists of the main subject and Free Space.
Beside the choices within the school, the student has the possibility to spend a fixed budget on lessons, workshops, or coaching outside the school. Every year, we look into the financial possibilities for individual budgets. You need the approval of your mentor for these activities. Free Space can also include non-paid activities, such as participating in bachelor projects or internships. Regardless of the budget, the hours to be spend are at least 112 hours (equal to 4 EC) in total.
The student may pick the content of the Free Space independently, if related to the learning objectives as set out in the study plan. Examples include: participation in Bachelor courses (such as project weeks and electives), internships in the work field, participation in a renowned masterclass, recording a demo, etc.
