Relation to other modules
The main subject links in with other parts of the curriculum. The students learn to better control their instrument, which shows in their performances in the individual route, as well as in the performance lab. Within the main subject, they make choices and take initiatives that are based on their study plan, which they write in Connecting the Dots.
Content
The student sets out the personal learning objectives in accordance with the skills and general objectives mentioned in Competence Matrix Master of Music.
Students attend classes with internal instructors (ArtEZ instructors). The study plan describes how the available hours for individual main subject classes will be used. Students always discuss the repertoire to be studied en played with their teachers.

(Master)classes by internal, concert visits, individually supervised by the main subject teacher(s) selected.

The evaluators' ratings are equally weighted in the assessments, which is expressed in a mark between 1 and 10. A 5,5 or higher mark results in a pass.
After the performance, the student receives oral feedback by the chairman of the panel. This feedback is a summary of the evaluations and remarks of the various members of the assessment panel.
