Content
This class will focus on performing as an acoustic piano-trio (preferably double bass inclusive, but bass guitar is possible as well). There will be an emphasis on choosing and creating original pieces, and on the performance of that material as an expressive improviser and performer; we will work on defining the concept of your music. Subjects are rhythmic lock / un-lock, groove, dynamics, interaction, freedom, sound (both individually and as a trio).
In spring a performance is a mandatory part of this elective.

Examination and assessment

Assessment by the instructor at the end of the course.
Criteria
Creativity, connectedness as a band, interaction, sound, tonal balance, consistency of style / concept, owning the music, active participation.
Pass requirements
The student has completed this module if being awarded a satisfactory assessment at the end of the module.
Examination procedure
Students are assessed at the end of the course. The assessments comprise evaluations of students' performance during the lessons and public performance.
