Prerequisites
Admitted to first year of Jazz & Pop in Arnhem. Exceptions: Pleasure Island can be chosen as an elective in year 2-4, and in case of rare instruments students from other years may be admitted to Band In Residence, this is decided on a case-by-case basis by the head of department.

Projects Year 1:
- Start Project Week (31 August - 3 September)
- Band In Residence (2-4. November)
- Interdisciplinary Week (30 March - 2 April)
- Project Days (including Instrument Day): 13. October, 4. & 5. February, 12. March
- Events (Music & Business Workshops, Good Practice Sessions, Birth of Future Music Festival and external Concerts. Events take place on Project Days and other days)
- 2 Swap Lessons (planned individually with the teacher and registered with the Education Office)
Note: Projects is part of the Artistic Practice cluster and assessed as part of its portfolio. Though individual ECs are not awarded to one of its subjects, the cluster in total counts for 9 EC in the first year.

100% attendance criterium on Band In Residence.
Attendance of minimum 6 Events in the year, of which at least 1 Good Practice Session, and maximum 1 external Concert.
A written reflection report of attended events is to be added to your Artistic Practice portfolio.

Projects is part of the Artistic Practice cluster and assessed as part of its portfolio. Though individual ECs are not awarded to one of its subjects, the cluster in total counts for 9 EC in the first year. The cluster is passed when awarded a 'pass.'
