Content
Composing for video.
Typically, the music should support the story by underscoring its plot, but it may also be used to comment on the video. Students also learn how to work with sync points.

Arranging.
Even the best production falls flat with inadequate instrumentation. Different music styles require different approaches: students learn to effectively allocate written parts to different instruments and registers.

Mixing.
Different music styles have different tonal features. Students learn to effectively mix the different instruments, including the use of compression, reverb, eq,etc.

Technique.
Students learn to process the various elements technically, to synchronize the audio with the video and to choose plug-ins appropriate to the purpose of the production.

Students receive a new commercial once every two weeks. During the week following, they work on developing the music in class, discussing options and learning from each other's work. This module focuses on assignments close to the professional practice, such as sound-alikes, sound logos and leaders in a variety of musical styles.

Apple and Logic will be used.
