Content
This course tends to merge the theoretical and practical approach to music and will provide a moment for reflection on one’s own musical practice. Therefore, it challenges you to step away from the practical aspects of being a musician and engage your profession with openness and new insights. Focusing on broad terms (such as ‘Improvisation’, ‘Interaction & communication’, ‘Embodiment’, ‘Time and timing’, ‘Psychoacoustics’), insights through scientific literature will be given and function as a starting point for questioning, re-inventing and deepening your own musical practice. At the end of each session, we discuss how these new perspectives might influence your practice.
