Content
Students carry out a research, and will be guided by the research supervisor;
The research results will be presented in April of the second year;
The presentation of the research is a public event;
First-year Master's students must attend at least five of these presentations.

Instruction lectures, meetings with fellow Jazz & Pop master students and individual coachings, presentations.

Examination and assessment
Mode(s) of assessment
Verbal as well as written assessment by the research supervisor at the end of the module.
Criteria
Attending at least 80% of all lectures. Absence from one or more lecture entails the compulsory attendance of at least one additional research presentation;
Attending at least five research presentations by second-year students;
A positive evaluation of your research proposal.
Pass requirements
The student has completed this module if they are awarded "satisfactory" by the research supervisor, at the end of the second semester.
Examination procedure
At the end of the series of classes and meetings the research supervisor fills out an assessment form. Assessment is comprised of a verbal evaluation. The research supervisor reviews this assessment with the student during the first subsequent meeting.
